A 3D sci fi top down shooter made for the Jamlytics Jam #1 with three different shooting abilities and a dash ability to dodge incoming attacks. 

Press tab or escape to open the pause menu. Control hints and an introduction text are in the game. There is no real gamepad support even though a missed text mentions that. I had no time and removed nearly all references to my originally planned gamepad support.

The theme "A Poor Connection" was implemented by controlling a combat android that can't be too far away from radio towers and more towers having to be activated to be able to finish the map by extending controlling range.

I wanted to make an ARPG for decades and this is pretty much the first attempt. I made it top down because that is more forgiving asset and animation wise. As of now there aren't really any RPG elements in it besides having three shooting modes ("abilities"). Originally I wanted a forth ability slot, RPG like stats, more weapons / weapon modules with an inventory, randomized substats, passive equipment / modules like for an energy shield, stealth and whatever but I ran out of time due to a bunch of technical issues.

Regarding the video: I didn't play my game since I uploaded it and had two failed attempts before this successful one. I think one of my last changes made it way more difficult than it is supposed to be. You get swarmed too easily at the start and the enemies really feel too tanky. Once you clear all the enemies in the center it becomes rather easy, maybe the map should have been less open. See 4:50 for some good exchanges of somewhat decent dodges and landed shots. I got rusty. There really are a bunch of issues like what feels like random delays which is probably just the different ability cooldowns or shots weirdly getting stopped by colliders including loot...
